Dance is a very big part of our lives. There's lots of times when we will just turn the music on and DANCE. Last night was the start of a very busy dance season. Hailee has danced since she was 4 years old. She LOVES it. Don't ask where she got her talent because neither Brad or I can dance. She's been with a really good dance team just taking lessons. She was finally old enough two years ago try out for their dance team and she was happy to find out that she made the team. She was so excited, but then found out she had to have ballet if she wanted to be on the dance team. She was not fond of ballet, which was a struggle. I was so proud of her to stick with it. We tried to teach her that you don't quit when things get hard. She decided she wanted to do the dance team again last year and it required two days of dance and two days of ballet. After that year, she was adament that she was quiting because she didn't like ballet. Well, I'm not sure what happed, but she wanted to try out again this year and they moved her up a level. I think she wanted to try out again because the recitals are so much fun and she gets a rose. So she still has two days of ballet and two days of dance. She loves ballet now. It's the craziest thing. It's amazing what a different teacher will do. Sorry if this is boring to you, but I definately wanted to record how it all begun.
They perform at lots of basketball games and have lots of competitions. Last night was the start of the "dance season". I'm excited for her because it's what she loves. Here's some pics of her and one of her good friends.
