Ode to Snow

When I looked up what Ode meant it said" a poem written to or about something". Well, I have no intentions of writing a poem about snow, but I figure instead of complaining that we just got a bunch of snow last night that stuck to the ground I would write things that I will miss about the snow when summer comes. I am definately not a fan of the snow, but I need to remember that we needed it so desperately and it's actually a blessing for us. If we start complaing about it, we might not get it again! Here's a list of just a few thing of what I love about the snow!

It means hot chocolate 24-7

I love to cuddle up with a blanket and a good movie

My days actually seem to slow down during winter

Snowmachining

Sledding

Watching the kids thouroughly enjoy building a snowman

Hot baths in our garden tub

Wearing sweats and a sweatshirt

Eating all the time and hoping my sweats and sweatshirt will hide the fat

Baking. I don't bake a lot in the summer because it's so hot.

Cutie oranges are in season

I get to wear my brand new "winter" coat

The holidays

I'm hoping that this morning is the last we see of the snow until November! I'm so ready for summer! And you found some positive things about the snow - my list would be much shorter!!

I do like your list but I am soooooo ready for the snow be gone. We don't have any on our grass but today has been snowy & cold, I'm just glad it's not sticking. I want the warm sunshine to arrive!

Great idea to make a list to try to be positive about this insane weather!!! You're TTA post made me laugh too. I'm so with you on not doing crazy things! Motherhood takes care of that I think!

Karri-

We are in Albuquerque NM. Where is the job offer?

Las Alamos I think is 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. from here. I have never been but here it's very pretty-a lot greener than what is here in the big Q. Also the schools up there are supposedly the best in NM. If you are down this way checking things out will have to meet in Santa Fe.

You have the best attitude. I can't wait for the sunshine either, but I am like you and the winter clothes do seem a lot more forgiving!

I really was trying to be positive about the weather, but after today I want spring to come and stay!! I do love that you can still see all the fun things about winter. By the way, you looked really cute at church on Sunday!

I'm trying to be positive, I really am. But, seriously, it has to end at some point right?!? I'm laughing my head off at the picture of Pam by her profile. She's so funny!
