Romance Box
Joe J. Christensen Presidency of the Seventy in General Conference said
"Keep your courtship alive. Make time to do things together—just the two of you. As important as it is to be with the children as a family, you need regular weekly time alone together. Scheduling it will let your children know that you feel that your marriage is so important that you need to nurture it. That takes commitment, planning, and scheduling. It doesn’t need to be costly. The time together is the most important element."
I've had an idea! How many of you get overwhelmed at EVERYTHING going on in your life? I know I do. A couple years ago I wondered how do people do it, a husband, kids, church calling, family, friends how does it all get done? We did a Romance Jar in Enrichment about a year ago and I've LOVED it. I of course had to make mine to a cute box because I wanted to add more ideas. It's getting slim because the end of the year is nearing, but I intended on filling it back up the beginning of the year. It has definately helped keep the spark in my marriage. After 12 years of marriage and kids it's hard to keep time for just Brad. I think it's so important that you make time for your marriage. When your marriage is happy, you're happy and then everything else seems to revolve around that. I've heard it numerous times to "have a weekly date night with your husband". Brad and I started this about a year ago and it has been so fun. Sometime it's an actual date and sometimes it's just something to say or do. I will draw one each Monday and post what it is. You can either take turns with your husband or you can do it yourself. It was suppose to be that the wife drew a topic each week, but I thought it would be funner to have each of us take turns. This week I drew out
"Begin each day this week with the words "I love you" whispered to your husband while you're still in bed. (I suggest keeping a bowl of mints by your bed)End each day this week with the words "Thank you" whispered to him before you drift off to sleep. It will help bring you peace"
It really does change your whole day starting off with those words and who better to say them to. I hope you have with this like we have. There are some pretty fun and cute ideas.

Karri,
That is so cute. I love the box you made! That is darling! You are so crafty. I would love a list of the ideas that are in it. Would you mind, if you get a minute, to email them to me? What are the little hearts on the popscicle sticks made out of? Very cute!
Great quote! We made something similar but yours is definately cuter! Thanks for sharing!
That is cute, what a good idea! Like Alison I would also like a list of the ideas when you have time. You need to pass some of your creativity to me cuz I have none.
