Top reason I haven't

blogged in a week. I have been busy busy doing what? SEWING! I love when I get the chance to sew. A few years ago I thought it would be great to make my girls' Easter dresses. I had so much fun and my girls loved it so mucfh that now I always make my girls' Easter dresses. So, this is what I started with

and this is what I ended up with

I was so happy that Zack and Ashlyn were playing good together to give me the time to sew. I remember when I was younger my mom always sewing. She pretty much made all our clothes. I would never be able to do that, but I definately love sewing them dresses. After church, we went up to my parents house and had an FEAST! My brother was up and made the best sushi ever. It was soooo good. I love just hanging out at my parents house and visiting with all my family. We ate, ate, and ate.

Easter Egg Party

Last year a couple neighbors and I decided we would have a neighborhood Easter egg hunt. We hated going to the local ones and having tons of kids and not getting any eggs. So I decided this year I would have it for our neighbors. We had an Easter egg hunt, ate, and colored eggs. We are so thankful to have such great neighbors and friends.

A few Crazy Girls

On Friday night Hailee and four of her friends had a little birthday party for Hailee. They came over around 5 p.m. and we ate pizza and opened presents. I never thought seven o'clock would come to go to the movie. I had five 9 year olds here screaming and yelling and running around everywhere. I almost lost my mind. They were having so much fun though. Brad came home for a minute and left and said good luck with the movies. Finally seven o'clock came and I told them to get out in the suburban. I went out and could hear them all singing and music blaring Hannah Montana. I have to admit, I did start singing and dancing with them. They had to have it that way all the way to the movies. When we finally got to the movies I could hear them talking about how there were a group of boys there and they were sooo cute. I thought "what?" I can't beleive she's already paying attentin to boys. They only got up about four times to go to the bathroom after the movie started. Hailee tried to talk me into a sleep over, but I had to say no. We don't do sleepovers anyways. I've always said I"m going to be a "cool" mom, but I really don't know if my kids will consider me "cool". I"m all about being a parent first. Right now I"m working on how to discipline and be a parent, but still be fun and be good friends with my kids.

Great job on those dresses! I started dresses and they're still sitting on the sewing table :} However, I did finish my other Easter project.

I just came by from TTA to say Hi!

I love those dresses! I'm not a big fan of sewing and only know how to (sort of) because of good old 4-H like 15 years ago! Your new header is way cute!

Wow Karri! You are amazing! I love those dresses, your girls look darling (and Zack too!)

What a fun Easter! You have so much energy and I think you are such a fun mom! You're kids are lucky.

Well, I think you're cool! Trust me, even without sleepovers, you're a cool mom! Having boys is a blast, but I have to admit I do miss out on the sewing end of it! There just aren't many things (that I want to do) to sew for boys, especially now that they don't need a million quilts anymore. You're great!

You are so talented, I think it would be fun to know how to sew. You did a great job on their dresses, they all look so cute!
I am the same way about being the cool mom. I remember everyone used to come to my house when we were younger & now that I am a mom I think how did my mom ever put up with it. I get too stresses out when all the cousins come to our house & are running & being crazy. We are with you though on the sleep over thing. We don't do them either. You are a great mom so don't think otherwise.

I am at my moms now so sometime in the next couple of weeks I will give you a call. I have sick kids right now so we won't be doing much.

Wow, I am so impressed. I always knew you were a great mom, but honestly I am not sure how you juggle everything that you have going on and do it with perfection. Those dresses are beautiful. When I saw your girls at church I thought how cute that you found three matching dresses. I can't believe you made them. Great job Karri!!
