San Diego

After driving a total of 2400 miles, which is 30 total hours, we're finally home. So much fun! Other than the driving, we had a blast and even the driving wasn't that bad. We broke it up pretty good. We drove to Salt Lake for a night, then all the way to Vegas for a couple days, then to our final destination SAN DIEGO! We couldn't have picked a better week to be there because we had heard it snowed in Idaho Falls while we were gone. We stayed in San diego for 7 days then drove to Cedar City for a day and then all the way back home. The weather was awesome, a little too hot in Vegas, but was perfect in San Diego. In Vegas, we were playing games at Excalibur and Brad had won a guitar. Not only were the kids excited about him winning, but it was a PINK guitar. After he won one, he had to win two more and then win a blue one for Zack. And we had the pleasure of listening to it all the way there and all the way back.

After San Diego Zoo, Sea World, a few beaches, Old town, the temple, In and Out Burger a lot, shopping, movies, baseball games, and more, I was pooped when I got home. My whole entire family went parents, brother, sisters and their families. It was great to be together to create more memories with each other. I have to say my family is pretty awesome and I'm so glad we're all so close. I felt the trip was perfect, we weren't too busy, but weren't bored at all. We had two condos which had kitchens and so we were able to sit back, relax and have a homemade meal a couple nights. One of the best things was we were right next store to Benihanas. One night we ordered probably $100 in sushi, soooo good. We were all lucky to have Brad with us because he served his mission there and he new where he was going and how to get to places.

My favorite part of San Diego was probably Sea World, I loved the Dolphins. And we saw Calista Flockhart while we were there. While we were feeding some of the sea lions real fish, there were a bunch of birds just waiting to get the fish before the sea lions. Well, Brad had a fish and was about to throw it in just when a bird nailed him in the back of head. I had a good laugh.

Another favorite part was the beach. I could totally live by the ocean and so could my kids. They would have been fine to just go swimming every day. Just a little bit out from where we were catching some waves, Brad spotted some dolphins. It was so cool to see them jumping. Next time we go, we're definately renting some boards. It was awesome to ride the waves, they got so big.

The temple was so beautiful, its what I picture Heaven as. I don't even have words to describe it. When Brad was on his mission, he was able to go to the dedication. There are beautiful flowers EVERYWHERE! Every part of it is landscaped.

All in all it was great to spend time together as a family and as always, even though we had tons of fun, its great to be home. Here's a little video of our trip. You'll need to push pause on my radio thing first.

I'm so jealous! It looks like you had a ton of fun. By the way I agree with the temple comment. That's why I got married there. LOL! We're glad you are back though.

Looks like fun! Glad your back when the weather here is actually improving. :) Dustin said he saw you at the park, too. But, he's not coaching, he was probably just helping out. His schedule is too unpredictable to coach (oh yeah, and he'd probably yell too much! :)). Hope you are recovering from your wonderful trip!

Hey, this is Jenny, Julie's sister. I was looking at your blog through her site. Your trip to San Diego sounds fun! I can't believe it is 30 hours there. It is only 29hours to our house in Ohio, from Idaho. You could just come out here next time! Just joking. If you ever do come out this way to see Kirtland, or Palmyra we are only 30 minutes from Kirtland and 4 hours from Palmyra. Well It's fun seeing your blog. Ours is, uuuummmmm, I don't remember. I think you can get to it through Julie's though. I have make comments on hers.
