Have you Ever Wondered....

What 64 quarts of beans look like? This is what has occupied my life the last week. Beans and peaches! I love this time of year when my garden is already to eat! I love canned beans and won't eat any other. My food storage is looking pretty good. Once I get it all organized I'll post pictures.

Here is what we did for the kids' teachers this year. My kids loved helping make them and loved eating them even more. With the kids back in school, I'm loving life. I'm not one of those moms who dread when the last day of summer comes. Don't get me wrong, I love having my kids home, but three months is enough...almost more than enough. They were also ready to get back into the groove of things with having a schedule. All summer we ran around and had no schedule whatsoever. It was nice, but now we're all ready to get back into things. I'm enjoying spending time with just me and Zack. I can't beleive he's my only one home, boy how the time flies.

WOW you have been busy! I have never known how to can things, my G-ma Webster used to do it all the time but back then I wasn't interested in learning. Now I look back & wish I would have paid attention to her sewing & canning it would be nice to know how to do either of them.... You are so nice to send the Teacher's those yummy treats, I bet they loved it!

I bet the teachers at your kids' school fight over who gets to have them in their classes! You always think of amazing stuff that would never have crossed my mind. You constantly amaze me! :) And you can your own food. Sheesh, what can't you do? :)

Holy cow, Karri! You have been a busy girl. How long do you think it will take your family to eat all those beans?

Those carmel apples were soooo yummy! Just seeing it made my mouth water again. You'll have to give me the recipe.
