Paige's Baptism

Another busy week last week. Paige got baptized on Saturday and so my week started with making a baptism dress. My mom made all my girls' blessing dresses and I decided I would make all their baptism dresses. I let Paige pick out the one she liked and then I "tried" to copy it with a pattern I had. I usually have my mom help me, but I did this one all by myself, even the sleeves. It turned out pretty good and Paige looked so pretty in it. We had all our family and close friends here to see her get baptized. I think she was scared to death because she wouldn't smile when she was up on the podium. She did great and we're so proud of her decision. She thought the best part of getting baptized was getting her very own scriptures with her name on them from her Nana and Grandpa Sakota. Here's some pictures of the big day.
If you click the picture, you can see the dress better.
I thought this pictures was cute. Brad was giving Paige a lesson about being baptized.

Ashlyn wouldn't leave Paige's new baptism braclets alone. She wants to get baptized just so she can get all white braclets.
Zack loved the netting on Paige's dress. Four layers! He loved to get all tangled in it.

Paige was so excited to be baptized on Mother's Day weekend. I had a great MOther's Day yesterday. We went to Brad's parents and had T-bone steaks, baked potatoes, grilled asparagus and lots more yummy food. That is one of my favorite meals. He made me breakfast and pretty much took care of everything yesterday. It was good because after the week I'd had, it was good to get a break. The girls were so excited about my gift and could hardly wait til I opened it.

We got this pearl when we went to Vegas with my sisters at one of the Pearl Factory stores. It was so big and really white. Brad had it set for me with a setting that was soooo pretty. He did a good job picking it out. The jeweler said it was a really big pearl. Thanks Hon. I will catch up on my other doings last week a little later in the week. I must sleep now.

Georgious! The dress & the ring, you are a lucky girl. I am so jealous that you can sew I would love to be able to make Brynlee's baptism dress. What a great treasure for them. Glad you had a great Mothers Day!

Yes, they were adorable! I'm not sure who looked more terrified, Dylan or Paige! Beautiful job on the dress, you really should start a business or something. People would pay big bucks for a handmade dress like that! :)

Love the ring and awesome job on the dress! So cute!
I bought my shirts in the mall at the Buckle. They have so many cute shirts right now, it was hard to only pick a few! I get my hair done by Megan at Root Forest. She does an awesome job! I though blonde would be fun for summer!
